This is my favorite one to go to because when I go here, there are no pop-up. http://www.glitter-graphics.com/
photbucket.com is a good one too. I like those 'cuz you can actually type in what you want, for example for avatars you can type in Cars, Music, Rock, Happy Birthday or Best friend, Smile, etc
but you can also use places like layout pimper, pimp my-space, coolmyspacecomments.com, glitterbell.com, myhotcomments.
